Congratulations to Jordan Parker (Health Area) for receiving the Elizabeth Blackwell, MD, Graduate Award from the UCLA Center for the Study of Women. This award recognizes an outstanding research report, master’s thesis, dissertation, or published article related to women and health or women in health-related endeavors. It is named for Elizabeth Blackwell, MD, the first woman to graduate from medical school, and made possible by the generosity of Mrs. Jean Stone. Jordan received this award for her paper based on her 251 project, which is titled Prospective relationships between skin color satisfaction, body satisfaction, and binge eating in Black girls, in press at the journal Body Image.
