Guidelines for wireless networking
Most rooms in the Psychology Complex have at least 2 wired network ports. These ports are meant for computers and printers only. When other devices like hubs or routers are plugged into these ports and configured incorrectly, it can create serious connection issues for other users on the network. In addition, unpatched and/or incorrectly configured wireless devices are particularly susceptible to malware attacks.
Please use the eduroam network rather than set up your own wireless network. Guests (i.e., those who are not UCLA employees or students) should use the UCLA_WEB network. If you believe there is a reason campus wireless (eduroam, UCLA_WEB) cannot meet your networking needs, please submit a helpdesk request.
